Please note that the property will only be populated if it has no value and has never been updated by a user in your HubSpot account. 

Additionally, HubSpot will only scan the email signature of the first response from any contact for eligible contact properties. In case there are no eligible contact properties in the first response, but they are included in the signature of a subsequent reply, HubSpot will not populate any properties on the contact record.

How to implement HubSpot AI to Populate Properties?

The Fill contact details from emails with the HubSpot AI setting in your HubSpot account is turned on by default. The changed source of such properties, populated automatically, will be HubSpot AI. However, you can turn it off in your account, given you have account access permissions.

Let’s find out how you can turn automatic contact property on and off:

  • In your HubSpot account, go to Settings in the main navigation bar

  • In the left sidebar menu, click on Objects > Contacts.

  • Navigate to the Setup tab, select or clear the checkbox titled: Fill contact details from emails with HubSpot AI  

Note:- Once you enable the setting, it may take up to ten minutes to activate. If the feature was turned off initially, it will scan your new emails for contact details. However, it will not retroactively scan your emails.
